Ringo
Starr was never the deep thinking Beatle
the others were. But his music and other works were fun and he has always been
a fun entertainer. As a friend of mine and I agree, while Ringo is rarely a
person's favorite Beatle, he is often described as a person's second favorite
Beatle. That was the case with us. My favorite Beatle has always been John
Lennon. Tim's favorite was George Harrison. But both of us quickly declared
that Ringo was our 2nd favorite. He is a really likable person. So I am glad to
hear he will get his own entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Of course he
deserves it. Why not?-Otto

Were you upset by the breakup of the Beatles back in the day? So
was Ringo Starr.
The Fab Four drummer
told the Times of London that he often spent the 1970s and '80s in a boozy
haze.
“I was drunk,” he
said. "Some of those years are absolutely gone.”
Starr, 74, explained
to the paper that the group's split affected him for a long time. “I was mad,”
he said. "For 20 years. I had breaks in between of not being."
