Dealing with the death of family and friends during the holidays

I got bad news this December as I lost my mother-in-law and a good friend. My mother-in-law, JoAnne Gentry, was sick in the hospital for the last six weeks. She got better a few times and really sick others. We figured she might die soon and she did two days after Christmas.
A few days later I got the news that a friend of mine, Tracy Langley died. I don’t know yet what killed her as she was not that old. She wasn’t a real close friend, but I did know her fairly well, so it was a bit of a shock when I heard she had died.
I’ve had enough of funerals and people dying for one year. After being in the hospital more than a month it has not been a good year for the holidays.
Maybe next year will be better.
