Kansas Rednecks may get to carry their guns

If you’re not packing, you should be. It’s shoot-em-up time in Kansas as the Senate over road the veto of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, on the concealed firearms bill. If all goes well, according the wing-nuts who want this, so called “law abiding citizens” (who often commit as much crime as known criminals, but simply aren’t caught) can pack a pistol. That means, for the rest of us, that we aren’t safe from paranoid rednecks who decide to shoot us over a fender bender, an argument in the street or simply looking suspicious if we are out late at night.
They already shoot their relatives by accident and foreign looking people who stop at their homes in need directions. Now they can shoot these people on the street.

According to The Wichita Eagle, Mar. 23, 2006:

”A day after Gov. Kathleen Sebelius vetoed a concealed firearms bill, the Senate overruled her in a 30-10 vote.
And supporters of the proposed law say it's all but certain the House will sustain the override today, giving Kansans the right to carry concealed firearms.
It also will make Sebelius the first governor to have a veto circumvented since 1994.
"I think the Kansas Senate has spoken loud and clear that this is good public policy --that the citizens of Kansas desire this legislation to become law," said Sen. Phil Journey, R-Haysville, a leading gun rights supporter. "I regret the governor's position, but I believe the people have spoken."

Well Mr. Journey, you and your redneck friends can shoot up your local town and declare open season on us leftist types. That’s if we don’t PACK OUR OWN WEAPONS.

Bang! Bang! Yeeeehaaaa!
The students at Columbine High School didn’t have any problem with background checks to get these wonderful guns.
