Today we have more evidence that our society is creating a
whole generation of attention seeking egomaniacs that will do anything to get
noticed and have nothing new to offer except their own self-perpetuating self-indulgence.
During the People’s Choice Awards, the women of The Talk were interrupted by Zacari Nicasio.
Nicasio thought he could just grab the mike and give his own view of himself,
according to Yahoo
TV. The crew later referred to
him as an idiot.
The website Pigeons & Planes reported that he decided to go up
because “all the stuff that’s going on in the world today. I’m a big
inspiration to myself, and people are not taking me seriously. People are
playing with me as an artist. I’m trying to let people know: Invest in me.”
He had nothing to say about anyone else or anything else. He
is like the glory seekers on American Idol. They hope they have enough talent
to get fame and fortune and they never have anything really important or
thoughtful to say. If they did, they would get thrown off the show.
The award shows these days and all the game shows to promote
the next talented hack to soak up fame and fortune are all about one thing:
Fluff! Crap to keep you mind of your mind-numbing job or terrorism or the next
talentless hack who wants to be your president.
Nicasio could have easily reminded us just how shallow and
hollow today’s performers really are.
