Carlos Fuentes dies
Carlos Fuentes Macías, a well known author and activist died yesterday. He was born November 11, 1928. He is best know for his works, The Death of Artemio Cruz (1962), Aura (1962), The Old Gringo (1985) and Christopher Unborn (1987).
During the 1980s he was a staunch critic of US policy in Central America. Fuentes is interviewed in the documentary Americas in Transition. The Documentary details US intervention in Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and other parts of Latin America.
